Practical Craft Skills

Practical Craft Skills (woodworking) can be taken at either Intermediate Level 1 or 2.

The course is designed to offer students an increased practical element to woodwork. Designs are given, and instruction given to allow students to produce various artifacts.

The cabinet shown here is a component part of the course.

This is attempted only after various practice pieces have been completed.

The cabinet includes Flat frame and Carcass construction techniques.

The final project may be similar to that pictured on the right.

The clock mechanism can be supplied at cost price to the students.

The tolerence of joints have to be no greater than 1 millimetre.
