How the Course Works (Standard Grade)
Standard Grade Computing is composed of both practical and
theory elements. 40% of the overall grade is practical the other 60% is
attained from the final exam.
The practical element is broken down into 5 elements. These are
2 non programming tasks, 2 programming tasks and a project. These are all marked
using the standard grade criteria (1-7) and an overall average mark is
calculated. This mark is sent to the SQA and contributes 40% to the overall
award in conjunction with the exam mark.
