1. I live outwith the U.K. and am interested in sending my son/daughter to the school. What do I do?

giving details such as; age, date of birth, stage that the child is at in education, male or female, when they would join the school (easier if able to start in August at beginning of school session), where they will be staying, who will they be staying with e.g. parents/gaurdian, and their position/status in country. 2. I live within the U.K. and am interested in sending my son/daughter to the school. What do I do?
Contact the Education Department (see Q1. above), and request a placing request form, which should be completed and returned.
The more details you are able to give the better. It does help if child will be staying in the catchment area of the school. Back to top
3. I am a teacher from outwith the U.K. and am interested in teaching in the school. What do I do?
First of all, you would need to check if you are qualified to teach in Scotland. This requires registration with the Scottish General Teaching Council (GTC, Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT). If you are already registered, then you would need to apply for posts advertised in local and national press. Back to top
4. I am interested in becoming a classroom assistant. How can I do this at your school?
At the moment we do not have any classroom assistant posts. If they become available it is likely they would be advertised. Back to top
5. Are any of your teachers interested in a foreign exchange?
If you would like to use our enquiry page to e-mail details, such requests could be included in our weekly staff bulletin and if any staff are interested they would respond personally. Back to top
6. Are there any former pupil reunions soon?
Difficult to predict ? increasingly the website seems to attract such information, and this would be published in the Former Pupils section. PLEASE NOTE: None of the reunions are organised by the school directly. Back to top
7. Can I contact a member of staff via E-mail?
We would not give out personal e-mails of staff but any message sent to the website (via Enquiry page) could be passed on to the member of staff concerned. Back to top
8. How can I obtain a prospectus for the school?

9. When did the school motto change to
This was effected by petition on 21st May 1968. It was found that the former motto belonged to a family which previously owned the land, and therefore a new coat of arms and motto were registered to be used. Back to top
