4 Sep 2007 - HMIe announce their visit

We were pleased to hear today that HMIe have announced that they are visiting the school over the two week period from 2nd to 12th October. All of you should receive a letter informing you of the Inspection process and some of you, chosen at random will also receive a questionnaire which I would urge you to complete and return to HMIe as soon as possible. All of the staff and a selection of students will also be questionnaired and during the Inspection itself, colleagues from HMIe will take the opportunity to meet with another selection of pupils, parents and staff. We are looking forward to the visit and hope that we are reassured by the opinions from our community and the inspectors about what they think of the school. As always there will be ideas for us to take forward and hopefully also recognition of the huge amount of sterling work put in by many within and outwith our school community. We'll keep you updated as the Inspection progresses. Please don't hesitate to talk to any of the inspectors if you wish to do that. Clearly there is a lot of information which we need to bring together for the inspection and that does tie up people's time but we will still try to run as normal as service as possible!!!
